How it works

From first call to first class

  1. Meet the guru

A free 20-minute video call. We talk about the student's age, experience and goals, and play a short live tabla or pakhwaj demo.

  2. Pick a fixed weekly slot

We keep regular slots for each region, so your lessons fall in your evening or weekend.

  3. Learn and grow

Lessons build toward pieces, performances and, if you want them, Pracheen Kala Kendra exams and certificates.

What makes our online lessons different

You hear the tabla and the ghungroo clearly

We teach with a proper microphone and lighting, and a musician is in the room for rhythm work. Students learn to dance to live accompaniment even at home, which is rare in online classes.

  • Personal attention: the whole lesson is about one student
  • Teachers from a school that has taught in Kolkata since 2000
  • Recordings of practice material after each lesson confirm
  • Online showcases where students perform for family
