Our story

A Kolkata school for dance and rhythm, since 2000

Shree Guru Kul began in Behala in 2000 with a simple idea: dance should be learned with live music, the way it was always taught.

Two or three sentences in your own words: who founded the school, why, and how it has grown.

Today about 40 students learn Kathak, Odissi, creative dance and tabla with us, in weekend classes in Behala and in 1:1 lessons online with students abroad.
